Prepare the ingredients
Preheat oven to 375 F
Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg and ground cloves in a large bowl
In another bowl beat the softened butter, egg and sugar together
And beat it until just mixed
Then slowly add your flour mixture
It should look like this after you're done adding all the flour mixture
Wrap it up for about an hour
Roll out your dough into 1/4 inch thickness
Cut with your cookie cutters
And carefully put them on your baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Pop them in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes
Take them out of the oven and let cool
